Teddy Bears that Care Program, Inc.: Founded by Stephen Doyle and the New York City Firefighters, this national not-for-profit public charity delivers plush, brown teddy bears to children’s cancer and burn units, children living in homeless shelters, children who are victims of domestic violence, and children living without parents. Mentoring Academics Athletics in Partnership (MAAP): MAAP works young people from economically disadvantaged communities to strive for excellence and to use their intellectual, leadership, and athletic skills to contribute to society. Founded by Raymond Sydnor, a former NFL great and an inspirational role model, MAAP aims to promote sound study habits, analytical thinking skills, leadership, and social, emotional, and ethical growth. His vision is one in which young people, parents, teachers, church and community leaders, politicians, small businesses, large corporations, foundations, and philanthropic individuals work together to make the mentoring of our young people from challenged communities a major national priority. The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center's Breast Cancer Program: This program is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary breast care program, offering a full spectrum of clinical and support services, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and laboratory research. Gilda’s Club of Greater Washington: This organization provides a meeting place where individuals with cancer, their families and friends can join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care. Free of charge and non-profit, they offer support groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a nonresidential, homelike setting. Website: www.gildasclub.org

Positive Image Life Changing Ministries: Founded by Rev. Charles Gordon, this non-profit organization assists individuals with the process of re-entering the community after serving time in a correctional institution. Through assisting with job training, education, childcare issues, PILCM helps individuals to lead productive lives in their communities.

Learning Independence Through Computers (LINC) is a consumer-based resource center which provides opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to use computer technology to achieve independence and productivity in personal and community life. Website: www.linc.org
